The work that now resides in the Archive feels like it was created in another lifetime. It was the authentic expression of a very earnest, very devoted (sometimes depressed and shame-filled) evangelical Christian woman.
That was before the Radical Spiritual Paradigm Shift of 2018.
I didn’t see it coming. And I didn’t go looking for it.
But it happened.
I won’t go into all the details here, but the terrifying task of constructing a whole new worldview was supported by the work of teachers like Rob Bell, Peter Rollins, Richard Rohr, Eckhart Tolle, Michael Singer, Rupert Spira, Dr. Amy Johnson, Clare Dimond, Scott Kiloby as well as the community at Central Avenue Church.
All of the creative work that came before The Shift is a valuable part of my story. Yes, sometimes I read through some of what I wrote back then and I cringe just a little bit. Still, I choose to honor that part of my life, not by hiding it, but by sharing it.
